can't sleep. Have headache that won't quit...

Beentrying forthe last couple hours off and on and it's just not working. I supposethe three hour nap didn't help much, but I'd've thought It'd've worn off by now.

lj idol week 2-Poison Rose

The first sound to break the silence of the dimly lit room in which I sat was the soft footstep behind my chair. the man who moved through these rooms always walked on padded cat's feet, even if he wasn't a cat himself. Next came the sounds of him setting out what would be needed for the task at hand. These were several piles of gloves-which were made for either hand- and a half-ounce vial which I heard the gentle click of as it was set down in front of me.

A mug of hot coco in one hand, my sim-screen in the other, I lounged in one of my favored chairs with my feet up. It was one of my rare few days off, and I took a great deal of amusement by sitting so that the sine for one of my love's cafe's flashed just behind me. "Smart Ass Central," it flashed, "The only spot for the sassiest of sweet treats!" I had often chuckled at his choice of names, even if it was in the back of my mind. Today was not one of those. I was too caught up in what I was reading to do so. So caught up that I didn't turn my head, even if I could have sworn I heard someone call my name.

It starts out slow, it does, with the unfurling of the wings, and the testing of the wind. The wind that whips playfully around the feathers and laughs through the hair.
